The ST-2 on-off tool provide a simple and reliable way of releasing and retrieving the tubing string without unsetting the packer below.
The ST-2 on-off tool consists of two parts, upper part with J-slot and connected to tubing string that engages automatically and release with 1/4 left hand turn or 1/4 left hand turn. Lower part anchor into the packer below and with internal nipple profile, the profile can receive and seal various flow control device such as check valves, equalizing devices, blanking plugs etc.
The bottom of J-slot retrieving sleeve has a guide shoe design which can through debris easily.
FEATURES
● Left or right hand 1/4 turn to release, automatically retrieving;
● Seals can withstand multiple (within 5 times) release or retrieve operations after RIH;
● The SX profile is a standard configuration and can provide various profiles;
● Retrieving the production string without unseating the companion packer below;
● Pressure can be allowed during operation;
● Simple, compact design;
● Maximum temperature rating of 375 ;
● Elastomeric /non-elastomeric seals are optional.
