Fracturing Manifold: Technical Specifications & Procurement Guide

Product Overview

The Fracturing Manifold is a high-pressure fluid control assembly engineered to comingle, distribute, and regulate high-rate abrasive slurry and treating fluids during well stimulation, cementing, and acidizing operations. Installed downstream of high-pressure pump trucks and upstream of the wellhead treating iron, the manifold routes fluid safely under extreme pressures up to 15,000 PSI.

Applicable Systems: Hydraulic fracturing spreads, coil tubing support spreads, high-pressure cement pumping units, and sand control spreads.

Target Buyers: Oilfield equipment procurement managers, pressure pumping service providers, and hydraulic fracturing contractors requiring API-certified fluid control packages.

Manufacturing Execution: Fabricated in-house utilizing heavy-duty CNC boring centers, multi-axis machining for integral fittings, certified automated welding procedures (WPS/PQR), and 100% non-destructive testing (NDT) to ensure structural integrity under cyclic fatigue loading.

FAQ

Q: What material standards are used for sour service (H2S) fracturing manifolds?

A: Materials comply with NACE MR0175 / ISO 15156 standards, utilizing hardness-controlled low-alloy steel forgings (restricted to a maximum of 22 HRC) and specialized elastomer seals resistant to sour gas degradation.

Q: How are the manifold welded joints inspected during fabrication?

A: All pressure-containing welds undergo 100% non-destructive examination, including root and final pass magnetic particle testing (MT) and volumetric ultrasonic (UT) or radiographic (RT) inspection by ASNT Level II certified technicians.

Q: Can the manifold be configured for dual-pressure rating loops?

A: Yes. Manifolds can be engineered with segregated high-pressure stimulation lines and lower-pressure flush or bleed-off lines, incorporating appropriate pressure-reducing chokes and relief valves.

Q: Are replacement parts interchangeable with major industry brands?

A: Yes. All flow iron components, union ends (Fig 1502), and valve internal assemblies adhere to standard oilfield interchangeable dimensions, ensuring compatibility with existing inventory.

Q: What surface treatment is applied to prevent corrosion on drilling pads?

A: Components undergo abrasive blast cleaning to SSPC-SP 10 (Near-White Metal), followed by a multi-layer marine-grade epoxy primer and polyurethane topcoat system resistant to UV degradation and chemical washdowns.

Q: What is the standard manufacturing and testing lead time?

A: Standard configurations require 6 to 8 weeks. Custom engineered multi-skid spreads or specialized sour-service metallurgy configurations range from 10 to 14 weeks, inclusive of third-party witness testing if requested.
